Traditional Naga Diamond & Elephant Motif
Authentic Laotian Indigo Cotton Shuttle Weave
Handwoven Cotton Scarves & Textiles
From Field Cotton to Handloom Weaver
Unlike fine silks, Laotian handwoven cotton scarves are celebrated for their rich texture, soft durability, and bold geometric patterns. Every thread is ginning, spun, indigo-dyed, and loomed by hand in rural Lao villages.
Indigo Plant Fermentation
Leaves from the Indigofera tinctoria plant are harvested and fermented in wooden vats to yield deep, light-fast indigo blues.
Supplementary Weft Motifs
Geometrics like the diamond lattice and elephant bands are manually counted thread by thread using bamboo pattern sticks.
